The missouri was a slave state. Main became free because of that.
  • Because the US gov't made MAine free, it freed slave.
  • By freeing those slave who may have not been there, the gov't was taking property from citizen which violated the 5th amendment.

  • The country had grown from states to 22 had managed to maintaned a balance of power between free states and slave states, for equal representation in the senate. There was 11 free states and 11 slave states. The free state with their larger population controlled the house of representative by the MIssoury compromise.
Essay
The MIssouri compromise was an agreeement passes in 1820 in the united state Congress, that prohibited slavery in the state of MIssourri. THe missouri Compromise was unconstitutional, according to the fifth amendment and the ideology of balance of power within the United State.
The fifth Amendment stipulates " NOr shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation". According to the three fifth compromise, slave were considered as three fifth of a person. THe state of MIssouri took away citizens property from them. Therefore violated the fifth amendment of the contitution.
The United state is designed a way to maintain a balance of power. This is in that intention that there was eleven free states and eleven slave states It also gave them equal representation in the senate. Freeing the states: with their much larger population allowed them to control the house of representative by 105 votes 81. THe US government freed Maine because of the MIssouri compromised which had violated the ideology of balance of power.
The MIssouri Compromise was unconstitutional, because it had violated the fifth Amendment and the ideology of balance of power in the United State Constitution.
